OUR

Friends

Father's House have some great friends both locally and internationally. We enjoy empowering and supporting those in our family with their ministries. In addition, there are also a number of different charities we support. Take a read and find out a little bit more about our friends. If you would like to make a specific donation to one of these charities, just let us know.

Based in Mozambique, Tutela's mission is to protect children and empower parents. Many children have lost parents as a result of conflict, disease and natural disasters. Hundreds of thousands of children are growing up without one or both of their parents, and suffering the effects of extreme poverty. Tutela's goal is a very practical response to this crisis.

The origins of Father’s House Shaftesbury church began in the mid 70’s when people from many different backgrounds, looking for a richer, deeper experience of God, found each other and began to seek together. On 2nd April 2012, Shaftesbury Christian Centre changed its name.  We are now called Father’s House Shaftesbury. We have done this because we feel Father’s House is more reflective of who we are as a people and is in line with our increasing experience of knowing Him as our heavenly Father.  Jesus said: ‘My Father’s House shall be called a House of Prayer’; we want it to be a place of worship and prayer, and somewhere people encounter Him as Father.

Youth for Chirst is a worldwide Christian movement wokring with young people around the globe. Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ we share the good news of God with young people.

Youth for Christ is made up of tens of thousands of full-time, part-time and volunteer indigenous staff in more than 100 nations working together in giving every young person an opportunity to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

We are unashamedly hungry to see the establishment of 24/7 prayer in the City of Bath. The House of Prayer Bath exists as one of a number of expressions of prayer and worship in the city. Our primary purpose is to be a place in and through which prayer and worship are poured out before God - as both an offering of extravagant intimacy and a bold cry for the earth to be as in Heaven. Why? Because He is forever worthy of unceasing adoration.

Above all, the House of Prayer exists to host a community of worshippers that will glorify the name of Jesus and stand in intercession for the city of Bath, the nation, and the global body of Christ.

The Life Project (Bath) is a Christian charity and all that we do is rooted in Christian principles and ethos.

The overall objective is to promote and protect the health and wellbeing of persons with learning disabilities and their families in Bath & NE Somerset.

Our vision is to build a family of people being transformed by the extravagant love of God the Father: a community of worshippers, disciples of Jesus, who cannot keep this love to themselves. Our mission statement is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in bringing people into the full knowledge of Jesus Christ, beginning where we live and reaching out to the ends of the earth. We enjoy the love of God the Father and giving him full access to bring his healing to our hearts. We want to live authentic Christian lives, becoming more like Jesus: whole and holy.

The Lighthouse church was started in 1996 by the senior leaders Phil and Heather Read.  At that time there were just a few families meeting in their home. The church grew quickly and moved to Lytchett Matravers Primary School later that year.  After a few years the church moved to Lytchett Minster School to take advantage of a bit more space and then in 2009 we moved to our own building in Holton Heath.

We believe that the church should make a difference in the region, changing the spiritual atmosphere as it intercedes and worships. And we feel that God wants us to be a blessing to the area. Not taking from it, but contributing towards it.
